That was the headline of an Associated Press article that came out this morning. Indeed, I do think airfare is stabilizing, a comment I also made to Roger Yu at USA Today. Loyal readers know I don't pull this stuff out of thin air, rather, I rely on the vast data and resources of Travelocity.
It is because of that vast data I can say with reasonable certainty that while airfare does seem to have hit bottom, hotel rates have not. And that is why yet again, dear reader, I urge you cure yourself of flight fixation. Flight fixation is an all too common ailment among travelers - we search and search for the best airfare, agonizing over $10 or $20 when in reality, we can negate that extra cost and more if we simply look to the hotel for the value on our trips. And isn't the hotel the most important part of your vacation anyway? Who cares about the flight, right? It is just a means of getting where you want to go.

All the airlines seem to be pretty competitive and are within a few dollars of each other. If you are lucky, you can find a lower fare if searching at off-peak times such as late in the evenings mid week. I definitely agree about the Hotels. They need to lower their prices!

Hotels definitely need to lower down their Prices, they charge a lot in the off season as well, esp in England!
